New River Baptist Church

 

  

Pastor Jason, Erika, and the girls have been with New River now since Thanksgiving of 2006.  After graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Jason went on to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.  There he completed his Master of Divinity Degree, and also got married.  After seminary Jason and Erika spent four years in Maine as church planters with the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.  With the church in Maine well established, they have returned to the South following God's leading to rebuild His church for His glory

Jason and Erika enjoy spending time together as a family, outdoor recreation, and giving their lives away in service to the Kingdom

 

 Les Gilbert is our Minister of Music and Worship at New River.  He has been on staff for 4 years.  He has degrees in church music from Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He has been involved in music ministry for over 35 years.  He and his wife, Edna Ruth, have 3 children, Theresa Lee James, Dawayne, and Mary Ruth.  They enjoy spending time with their 2 grandchildren, and reading.

 Mrs. Esseline Allgood is our church secretary.  She is the friendly voice that you hear when you call the church.
